While this page is generally intended for recruitment of Coal Division members to staff the various on site Coalfield Express events, any convention attendee is more than welcome to offer his or her time. The grids below are in three hour shifts. We hope that is not too much to ask. If everybody pitches in to help, we should be able to get the job done without taking you away from the other convention activities for too long. For each event there is a description of the activity and a contact point. The activity chairman can answer questions. When you decide to fill a spot or two or three, please let the webmaster know so he can update the grids. A spot marked “Open” on the grid needs a volunteer, other empty spots do not. When initially posted, this page had about 45 “Open” spots. If each of 45 people steps up to fill one such spot, the job will be done. We appreciate any and all help you can provide. Walk ins will need to complete a registration form then you will need to take their money and pass the attendees form to Greg so he can print a badge. We will have packets prepared for walk ins. You may also be called upon to sell tickets for tours and the banquet. This activity is most intense Thursday and Friday then tapers off to nothing by Saturday afternoon. |

Company Store/Raffle Contact: Bob Weinheimer rmweinheimer@ntelos.net 304-343-1428 These events are scheduled for the same room. The raffle will need some help to get set up before 3PM Thursday. Saturday afternoon we will pick the winners, put them on a list for attendees to see so they can claim their winnings. Until Saturday afternoon there is really little else to do. The Company Store is the spot where the divisions and the region sell their wares. If you work the desk, you will need to follow procedures to make each sale is properly documented so the sellers get their proper payment. I expect Ed Keith, Company Store chairman, will handle the math and payouts at the end. What we need in this room will require one or two people there at all times. We can’t ask Ed to do it all but if we staff one person until Saturday afternoon, that should have two there most of the time. |

Briefly, you will be accepting items for the auction, making sure paperwork is done correctly, then placing the items on the tables for display. Kelly can answer any other questions you may have. |

Contest Contact: Dan Mulhearn contest@coaldivision.org The contest room will need folks to accept contest entries. This will require you to review the entry forms then place the model, photo, or artwork on the proper table. You will also be expected to keep an eye on the visitors to make sure they do not touch or handle the models. We particularly need people to count the People’s Choice ballots starting around noon.
