The Coal Division meets monthly, usually on the second Saturday of the month. Each meeting typically includes a business meeting, a model contest, and a clinic or presentation about some aspect of model or prototype railroading. Our usual meeting place is the class room at West Virginia Hobbies and Craft in the Putnam Village Shopping Center in Teays Valley. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome.
NOTE: We will be trying something new with our membership meetings. The meeting site will be open and set up by 1 PM. Members and guests are welcome to gather for socializing at that time. The business meeting will begin at 2 PM with the contest and clinic to follow.

- Mark will have everything in place by about 11:30 AM so you are welcome to arrive at that time.
- Lunch (Mark’s great barbecue, chips, and soft drinks) will be available between noon and 1.
- We will host our annual flea market. Bring those things you no longer need, tag them with your name and a price, and put them out for sale. The division will take a 10% commission from the seller for any items that sell.
- The business meeting will start at 2 PM
- Expect a great clinic from Dick Briggs
- Members of nearby divisions have been invited so look at this event as something of a mini convention.
