Please plan on attending the Saturday evening banquet. In addition to a fine meal, recognition will be given to Master Model Railroaders, contest winners, and other MCR award winners. Our speaker will be Tom Dixon, founder and long time president of the Chesapeake and Ohio Historical Society. Tom will discuss the state of railroad preservation efforts.
Our meal will be a buffet featuring chicken Kiev, roast sirloin, and a seafood and pasta medley. The buffet will also include appropriate salads, side dishes, breads, and desserts. The cost is $40 per person.
As our social hour overlaps with the hotel’s Manager’s Reception, it makes no economic sense to have a bartender. Hotel guests can obtain beverages at the Manager’s Reception. Banquet attendees who are not staying at the Embassy Suites may purchase a reception ticket for $12.95 per person at the front desk. This ticket will entitle you to beverage service as if you were a hotel guest.
We have to give the hotel a final count for the banquet on May 7. We must receive your payment by May 6 in order to guarantee a banquet ticket. After that date there is no guarantee that banquet tickets will be available. Again, we must have your payment by May 6. A statement of your intentions is not adequate.
